Description
This is a painting of one of my childhood toys, I clung tightly to her for comfort following the devastating loss of our family home in a fire.
Her name was Michelle, a big yellow teddy bear. Who I loved and took everywhere, but whose nose was unstitched and stuffing constantly falling out. But this symbolizes a lot more for me about the strive for perfection when really, we can all be loved for who we are, despite those imperfections. I loved this teddy bear for the comfort she brought me, and didn’t care at all about the fact she was a bit broken.
