Bright Britain

This abstract landscape captures my fascination with the colours of the British countryside, which feels so vibrant and bright in contrast to the Australian bush. This is about feeling joyful and seeing the shapes of the countryside and the colours overlapping and vibrant, competing for my attention. There are of course birds in the sky and I hope you can feel the happiness I felt when painting this overlooking Dartmoor in Devon. The bright flourescent paints, and acrylic inks and oil pastel give lots of texture and character to this one.
