Remembering the Bottlebrush

Remembering The Bottlebrush was painted in response to my lovely bottlebrush that I had been nurturing for years, and waiting for it to flower, then it suddenly went brown and dry and that was the end of it! I was so sad as bottlebrush trees are something that not only remind me of home, but bring me great joy when I spot them and I seem to always spot them in overseas settings so take a goofy photo of me pointing at the bottlebrush to amuse my friends. 

This features abstract shapes of the bottlebrush, but also other flowers, painted with metallic oil stick. This is a really vibrant impactful piece and I love it.
